Summer weddings and singing in the park

In June we had the great honour of singing at the wedding of one of our choir members, Emma, to her fiancé Anthony. Rihanna’s song ‘Umbrella’ fitted the theme of the wedding, How Deep is your love featured again – as did Never Gonna Give you up – with wedding guests singing the chorus. It was a truly joyful occasion with plenty of dancing after the singing!

In July many of us met in Brynmill Park in Swansea to have an informal sing and a catch up. It was a beautiful evening and we enjoyed singing some songs we knew well and others we hadn’t sung together for a while.

Then at the end of August it was time to prepare for another wedding – this time for the daughter of one of our singers. We all did our homework and came together for 2 rehearsals before getting on our tour bus to Margam park where we had another quick rehearsal in the grounds (see the photo below) and then did ourselves proud singing for Sofia and Tom and their guests! They loved our performance so much they made us sing ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ twice!
