Performing again! Concert for our friends and families in May 2022
On 25th May, as the last session of another 5 week block, we invited our friends and families to hear us sing the songs we had been working on. It was SO exciting to get into performance mode again, standing closer, facing the audience and taking the songs to a new level. You can click on the links below to hear some of the performances. We really enjoyed getting the audience involved in singing Blue Moon and Never Gonna Give You Up, we were proud to show off the epic arrangement of Adele’s Rolling in the Deep that we had started learning before lock down (arranged by Gitika Partington) and we finished with a song celebrating our emergence from the restrictions of the past two years: Elton John’s I’m Still Standing, arranged by Wendy Sergeant.
After the concert we enjoyed food and drink provided by the choir and even sang a few old favourites before we went home. It was a fantastic evening!
